Hammer Run in NJ coming up 11/1-2

Postby GMP » Thu Oct 23, 2014 8:30 am

This is the annual DS ride that is really more like a trail ride or an enduro in the Lafferty's back yard. 90 miles each day and mostly prime trail. Good stuff, guys come from miles around.

I'll be there Friday night, riding both days.
Do you recall any log crossings? Wonder if I can go with the stock skid plate for the weekend.

We will be riding Sat. Got a room Fri night, probably head over there to sign up as well. This always falls on my wife's birthday so a full weekend away is tough especially after racing the last two in a row. Logs in south jersey are skinny little pines, no worries. I'll be in touch, ping Steve too, last year everyone got separated.

stop by my trailer for a cold one!

stock skid plate is fine for down there! there is only one rock in the whole 200 miles and they painted it bright orange so you are sure to hit it!

Will do, but I don't know if his bike will be ready, he's been having issues with the rebuild.
Let's connect Friday night.

Nothing against Stumpjumper, but the Hammer will be better trail for sure. If not chasing points it's the better ride.
We will be out early Sat, and run it pretty hard. You are welcome to join us.
The last harescrambles of the season at Blue Diamond MX in DE is another fun event not to be missed.

Thanks for the invite! I would not want to hold you back. I am riding now, but still on a very cautious side. Shoulder feels much better but still not 100%.

Btw, many many thanks for your suggestion on tire setup. Huge difference in grip From stock tires. Rode the set up at pines, rocks and mud. Much better everywhere. And no leakage from tubeliss.

I said you could join us, didn't say we would wait for you.  Just kidding! Take it easy and be careful. See you there, I'm #142.
