You're Invited - LRBDS 2016 (Last Ride Before Deer Season)

Postby twowheels » Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:24 pm

We're heading out to the Evart MI loop Friday Nov 13 for our annual Last Ride Before Deer (Rifle) Season. The plan is to be 'wheels-in-dirt' by 10:30. If we twist it hard there may be time for two 24 mile loops before dark sets in.

Mark and I tackled the trail last week on the 250RR and 350 Factory and the rocks were largely hidden by a blanket of very colorful leaves, which meant that at times the language was also somewhat colorful

We had snow last year at Denton Creek, and we've had rain during the event before, but seeing as we're unofficially shut out of the woods until December 1, why not?

We've got a long hunting season in Michigan, so we keep riding during bow and muzzleloader season but voluntarily vacate the woods during the 2 week long rifle season. Unfortunately by the time its over we're almost out of light and temperature.

The light issue can (and is) being addressed, temperature is above my pay grade!
If it were a few hrs closer I'd be all over it.
