Hi!

One week ago I changed my 400 for the new 350 EFI. No comparison between the two in weight feeling. Still breaking in the motor. Suspension is ready for the first tightening at the back and adjustment of sag, at 4 hrs. The EFI system works great and on Saturday I will receive the first updated map from the factory. No issues with the initial map but probably the factory has got an even better setting. The almost non-existent engine braking (especially with 3rd and higher) is a thing I really like and I think it contributes to the very light feeling of the bike. We could call it a three stroke...

I will write more when I have some more hours on the bike.

Congrats Leon! Comp braking is one thing I really hate about 4strokes, good to see Beta thinking about this.

Me too! I read that the amount of engine braking is adjustable via a stepper motor on the throttle body. Have you have a chance to play with the settings?

You need the diagnostic tool to do that.

Hi!

The new map will be loaded on Saturday morning and I will have a chance to see the diagnostic tool and confirm about it. Right now I don't feel to change anything about the comp braking. It took me the first two rides to get used to the absence of it and on Saturday in very slick conditions it didn't bother me. There is a very light "2-stroke like" flowing around the trees with 3rd that I really like now.

Hi!

I have few hours more riding time with the EFI 350 after the issue with my shoulder. The engine performance is great and at the same time very friendly, I like it more and more after every ride. No stalling issues and the reduced engine braking is a huge plus for me and I believe for many others. Also there is a very flickable and light feeling without compromises on stability.

I will report more a bit later. Not long ago I started with it again...

Hi!

All I wrote above still holds plus I wanted to report that the EFI system is just working great. The lowest temperature tried was -12 C. Good e-starting always and absolutely no stalling. Also there is no leaking around the fuel pump and other hoses around there. Also a side benefit of the EFI system is that the stator is a 3-phase system with all the juice going as DC to the battery, so no modifications needed to run decent HID or LED lights... at least something important for me and others I suppose.

The other big plus is that the 2015 Sachs forks are really (and finally) GREAT and very versatile. Currently running a much heavier spike tire (and at low temps with the stock 7.5W oil) and it is good/adequate with just clicker changes compared to stock settings (mainly opening up the compression clickers).
