Northeast 24hr Challenge: Riders Wanted

Postby GMP » Wed Jul 08, 2015 11:12 am

I have a team entry (40+ yr old) in for this race on 8/22,23 in Andover, NY. So far I have three committed riders including twowheels and myself. I would like to have the maximum of six riders so everyone stays fresh and has a good time. Since this conflicts with an ECEA race I'm having more trouble with interest than expected. If anyone here is interested in riding this with us let me know. Fast guys with sleep disorders are ideal! Seriously, its all about fun. You do not need $$ lights, a helmet light and headlight should be good, and if you run Flexxbars I have a light bar that will work. The course is fairly long but not that technical. I appreciate the invite but my travel to TKO the week prior and CO a couple weeks later is tapping out my kitchen passes for August/September.

If I was not my sons pit man I would be all over this. We thought about running a team for the event but it conflicts with a Netra Race my sons racing. Good luck and Have Fun.

Thanks. Again, you guys don't need a high dollar Cyclops or Baja designs light just for this one event. I have a Task racing light that was a lot cheaper and I'm getting some even cheaper lights to mod with Gopro mounts. If your interested I can help you out with this.

I'm switching the team class from 40+ to A/B due to only three commitments. All the faster older dudes are chasing points in ECEA or just lazy I guess. In A/B I can add two more, so that leaves one spot for a six man team. Don't worry if your a C rider we will have two Cs as the team has to be entered at the level of the strongest rider. Give me a shout and have some fun.

This weekend is show time! One spot left on team. Come out and ride with us. I have a helmet light you can borrow and an LED headlight better than stock.

Darn it I wish I would have seen this earlier, I would have driven the 13 hours to join the team with you and Mr. Beane! Good luck to both of you, I hope there has been some rains to keep the dust down!

Let me know if you would do this again in 2016. It would be good to meet you and Steve in person and contribute to a team effort.
