Canyon Ridge Trail: Glacier, WA

Putting this out there for anyone who’s looking to take a trip to ride. Canyon Ridge Trail is a bit of a local legend. When you are new to riding, like I pretty much still am, it’s a right of passage. I did it last year with another bro and it kicked our ass but finished. Rode out at 9am from Chair 9 and got back around 4pm. Looking to do it at least two times this year. It is an alpine trail that is only open for around 2-3 months depending on snow. It usually opens sometime in August. My plan is to hit it in the last two weeks in August. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

At least for me, there was a definite sense of accomplishment. All about energy management. The beers afterwards were like nectar from the gods.

I took August 18th thru the 30th off, and can do it again September 15th or 16th, and 22 thru 27. The closer to October you get...the greater chance for rain. It was manageable for my bud and I to tackle with dry semi-grippy roots. Once they are wet tho I don’t know. More people are better to help through “those spots” and reduce energy used.

I would like to come out there and ride with you guys. Any body got a place to bed down? I live in North Carolina and have always wanted to ride in the PNW. I wouldn’t be any trouble, I just want to ride like y’all!
