Your dealer may have told you he ordered it Tuesday but the order period isn't open yet ;)

Beta REALY need to lose a good few kg off their bikes .now Ktm have brought a totaly new bike out which is also a lot lighter than the old one .beta are miles behind .it very heavy and apart from oil injection it's the same bike as the first 2013 300 rr.
I got a 2016 now but unless there's a lot of changes I won't be buying a 2017 what's the point .
But there's a lot of people out there saying the same.
Mate of mine got a 2017 Ktm exc and when you lay the both bikes on the floor the Ktm is a masive difference in weight when you pick it up compared to beta.it also feels a lot more nimble in and around the trees.betas are great bikes engine is boom proof but the and the weight of them need to be addressed soon as to keep up with the ktms /huskys

I don't think 4 kg,s is a massive difference. My previous bike- a drz was at least 30kg heavier so 104kg is a revelation! They cant make the bikes lighter every year as there will be a point reached where the "lightness" will be a disadvantage. Beta make good user friendly, comfortable average-Joe trail/enduro/off-road bikes and I don't think they're trying to compete with ktm for the lightest, fastest racing bike.

Great stuff well done Steve on a beta 300 race. 2nd place was a ktm 125. There,s no doubt the beta,s can deliver across the spectrum. As far as 2017 models, beta obviously doesn't think they should change anything, which I think is a good thing. It works!

I suppose he could be lying but why? I had to wait a few weeks before the "order" could be placed, what would be the point in calling to tell me now is the time? And by God I have an invoice with a deposit!

I'm going to challenge him on it.
