I ordered a rear 50T sprocket to go along with the 13 front and Sicass Racing Universal Flush Mount LED Turn Signal's. Hopefully my 3 gallon tank will be here soon. I'll post up some pic's after I mount everything up.

Your bike is looking good! Did you get the speedo issue resolved? I switched the Voyager to GPS speedometer until I found that connector problem under the Voyager. It worked, but slow to respond to speed changes. Now that I am back using the front wheel signal, it works much better. My dealer was pretty proactive on quite a few known issues. He had changed out a problematic hose clamp for known coolant leaks, zip tyed the connector for speed sensor (zip tye failed), even installed Husky turn signals because he knew the Beta ones were not very robust. MotoXotica is a good dealer, in my book!

I've got to apologize for totally dropping the ball on the taking of photos and sharing my set-up.
Looks like you're well into it but I'll still try to get my arse in gear. My excuse is I've been very busy at work. Motion Pro moved up to Loomis this year and the shop and Chris's stuff relocated in a smaller shop in Redwood City. The past 9 months have been a series of lessons in iron working, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. We're still trying to get my new shop done. Knocking down walls, putting new ones up and all the rest of the reshaping a building into what we want.

I did get Chris off for his Continental Divide Ride. He did it with James Embro and five other guys that did the Trans America Trail last fall. James set up Beta 500's for them and they used them again this year. Both rides, no problems. Well, they had flats and a few typical trail issues but no real bike problems. That's around 7,000 miles of pretty hard riding between the two rides with six bikes and no breakdowns. The next time someone asks about Beta reliability you can tell them it's a non-issue.

Thanks Dale and Rick, yeah got the bouncing tach issue straightened out but it doesn't seem real accurate. It is set on low but still only shows about half the RPM but at least doesn't bounce like it did. The wire was routed all the way up the spark plug wire. The speedo is still a little erratic and I did zipty that connector that flops around like I think Dale mentioned. The connector really doesn't seem right, it's just loose feeling. I still need to figure out the low fuel sensor light. I think the sending unit in the tank is bad. My local dealer said he would need to keep my bike for about a week to diagnose and repair so probably hold off for now. Having a clear tank helps for checking fuel level anyway. Also the left air cleaner cover seems a little short like the plastic shrunk. The little tangs barely connect to the number plate area. Ron at Beta said it's a known issue so not sure if a new cover would fix it.

Rick, no problem on the pic's, sounds like you've been pretty busy at the new shop.

I have been really enjoying this bike and don't miss the orange one at all! This bike rips and handles great. I still never dreamed I would ever ride an Italian MC.

Thanks again for the help and tips,
Chris

Wait until you get the new IMS tank to mess with low fuel sender. You will have it out at that point and can check it with an ohm meter. I believe it functions as a switch, open or closed depending on float height. If I had to guess, it is probably just unplugged, or bent pin in the connector. It isn't a great connector either, doesn't really secure well. I have had the tank off about 5 times since I installed it, for various maintenance or bike mod reasons, and that fuel level connector is the trickiest component to get right. It's not horrible, but not great either. I could live without it if it gives me much more grief. The odometer and looking at side of the tank is probably safer method.

Thanks, I'll check that sending unit with an ohm meter when the tank arrives. I did plug and un-plug it a few times but made no difference.
Ron at Beta said to check and see if the fuel lines had tangled around the float. I'll look when I disassemble and install the new tank.

I still like KTM. In a few ways they are better but I feel for most riders the Beta is better. I still have my 200EXC and Chris has a few KTMs.
I've always liked Italian machinery. Owned an Alfa Romeo GTV for 30 years, a few Fiats in there too. Bought my first Ducati in 1980, a Darmah 900SS and have had at least one Ducati in my garage ever since. Had the Darmah for 30 years too and have had as many as five Ducatis at once. Currently in road bikes I have a Hypermotard and a Bimota DB2. I also have several Italian vintage off-road bikes. My favorite is a Mazzilli 125.
