How many converts?

Postby 454X » Tue Feb 25, 2014 10:52 pm

Hi everybody I'm new here. I just bought a 14 Beta 300RR. I used to be a Suzuki guy then Yamaha. After my 06 YZ 450 TRIED TO KILL me I bought an 06 KTM 300 and loved it.Then bought an 09 HUSKY WR 300 and a 2012 HUSKY CR with a WB 165 BBC kit (still have it).So far I'm really enjoying the Beta 300RR experience. This motorcycle company seams to really have it's stuff together. So happy with my purchase!

Me too, WR125, TC250, was not interested in a white KTM.
I am the Water Racer on Cafe Husky, from my power boats racing back ground.

Knox,

Occasionally I have an opportunity for a business trip to Knoxville. If there are good riding opportunities perhaps next time I will drive down with my bike. I have a friend from there but he is not a rider, very nice area and people.

Another convert, though not from the Euro crowd - I was a long time Yamaha rider with one foray into the Suzuki RMX world. Haven't had the opportunity to put the wheels on dirt as it is buried beneath many inches of snow. Reason for the switch?---magic button, lower seat height and supposed better lugging power for an old man, we'll see!

another Husky convert. No more x-lite problems for me. I still have my ktm 300xc for back up. But something tells me as I get my new Beta 300 dialed in the orange bike won't get used much.

I am a semi-KTM convert. I still have my 450 KTM for the dez but am looking forward to the Beta for the mountains. Went out on my fourth ride today on the Beta. I am not liking the forks but am going to give it 10 hours break in before I pass final judgment. Rear brake on the Beta is not as good as KTM. Otherwise I am digging it.

This bike is my new standard. I sold every GasGas nut and bolt and could not be happier with my decision to do so. Beleive me I had a lot of stuff. The Beta fills a market of a well engineered, quality mfg. alternative to a KTM or KTM variant. No longer neccessary to put up with crap or an MX conversion project to get the handling you want, be different, or both.

Enmerduer,
Scrap the brake light switches and rebleed. EBC Red pads. Firmer, better feel. I roasted the the stock rear pads in the first tight race.
