We got in a couple of 2018 300RR's yesterday, haven't gotten to test ride one yet, but I have noticed one big improvement. The new smaller clutch means you can pour the trans oil in as fast as it will go through the funnel!! No more eyedroppers...

I have not put it on a scale, but it does feel a little lighter, it would have to with the changes they have made.

Also has a little bit more streamlined rear fender/side panel with a plastic guard on the silencer to protect it.

So up to 2017 they used same size clutch frictions as yamaha YZ. Now the entire clutch diameter is smaller?

I didn't take it apart to see what was inside, but it is decribed as being more compact and lightweight. When you take the oil filler cap off, you can see more airspace and the ring gear on the clutch basket.

Test rode the first bike today, seems to rev quicker and the clutch action was very smooth and linear. The bike is not night and day compared to previous years, but the bike is lighter and feel like overall it is going to be the biggest advancement since 2013, although hard to say until they make it out to the real trails.

Does your oil injection function properly?
Mine was using too much oil.
I removed it.
