Decided to pull the plug and pickup a 14 250 RR Race. 5 hr drive tomorrow to pick it up. Looking forward to sharing knowledge on the board. I see a few guys from GG forum on here. :)

There is already a good thread going on the fork valving. That said, its not bad stock and has a good range of adjustment. Most important point transitioning from a heavier GG to a Beta is to keep your weight forward in turns, as the front end is lighter. It rails, will turn under a '12GG, just can't be sloppy where you sit. The bike wins in the shop hands down before you even ride it, you will see what I mean when you break it down for setup.

I had mine in the shop of a local rider/mechanic for him to grease all bearings. His small shop is a bit of a hangout for dirt riders. He works on European bikes and was very impressed with my 300rr race. He said all his visitors left slobber on the floor. Fun being unique while it lasts. Welcome to what seems to be the hangout for ex-GG guys.

I had an awesome experience with Nate and the crew at Kissell motorsports in PA. Can't wait to shake it down tomorrow.

While the number of Beta converts is growing nicely, I think you'll still get a fair bit of attention for a while yet...
