Overall bikes I'm glad to have chosen Beta. It seems they really have a feel for the customer. Now where's the two stroke 175-200 electric start.

Good example of Beta's philosophy of making great bikes that are fun and easy to ride.

Yea seems like that would be a natural progression.. but the 250 and 300 are so easy to ride and I figure it will be the same weight.. That's the thing about gasgas 200.. great bike and all but it's probably in the same weight category as the 250.. To me might as well get a 250 but I guess if you want to ride a lower class the 200 might be desireable.. idk.. unless they can make the bike a lot lighter it doesn't mean much to me. The 250 and 300 are so easy to ride that it seems like a waste of energy.

I agree, I would like to see a 175 2t, and a 280 4t, but only if the overall weight is considerably less

Beta is coming with a low cost 125 4t Dual Sport (full size frame) next spring.

They are also introducing an all new model at the dealer show in November but they are keeping closed lips.

A 175 - 200 needs to be based on a new 125 size and weight platform, like the earlier KTM 200s, before they got big. A 200 motor in the same frame is not a good plan, even if its looked at just from a marketing perspective. I had one of the first '98 KTM 200s, and besides the high vibration for a 200 the motor was fantastic in the way it would pull. Later years they lost something. As a matter of fact I think Steve liked it enough to put it in a YZ 125 frame.
