Gnarly pipe

Postby Windindaface » Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:05 pm

New Guy to the Forum.
I have a question for the collective knowledge gurus.
Can you fit a 2020 300 Gnarly to a 2022 300 Xtrainer.
I have a new 2022 on order and I'm getting bits ready for when it arrives.
Due the end of December.
Cheers Windy

I might have been able to form an answer, but I got offered the 21 demo with only 9hrs on it for a price I couldn't go past.

All the thoughts of the new engine went out the door. The stroke of the 22 is different so is possible it might be different. If you can ask your dealer to see if the OEM pipe is the same as the 21 you know fitment hasn't changed.

I found only the Fatty was listed for the 21 XT. So I bought that. To say there was a difference in the power is an understatement. It just brought it to life and I haven't even tried the new needles I ordered yet. No change to bottom that I could tell and power mucho improvement. I suspect that the 22 will respond the same.

Thanks Dave.
I hadn’t thought to check part numbers.

I surprise myself sometimes.

Check out crosstraining enduro (or something like that) on YooooToobe for Beta tips which I found useful (just putting the bike back together having done some things) only ridden it twice as recent purchase.

Next step is suspension, I think there is a bunch there. Aussie crowd
https://www.fullforceracing.com.au/ do shock piston and fork mods that are also featured on same YouTube guy.

Hey Dave,
Thanks for the input.
I have watched crosstraining on YoooToob vids over the years.
I was going to wait until I get a few hours on the bike before I look at suspension.
I'm pretty close in Aussie terms to Full Force. Only about 800 kilometres. :D
I'm located in Nth Queensland.
Hope the weather across the ditch is good for riding.
Cheers

Well 1200km for me. I'll wait till after Christmas to send anything.

Pretty good here but spring unpredictable. We've decided to distribute C19 nationally at last so waiting for the roll out and how it affects trail ride allowed numbers. oh well, had to happen some day.
