Hey guys!
Just put my down payment on a 2015 250 RR yesterday. Dealer should have it in a few weeks. So pumped to be on a Beta, and back on a 2t!
Decided to go with the non race version, gonna take the extra money and get the suspension dialed in for me. Look forward to talking to you guys!
Is there any tricks to these bikes to be aware of? Or anything that should be done before the first ride?

Congratulations!!! You're going to love it! I went with the sachs up front too with my 15' 300 rr and like it. The marzochis are stiffer and great but just have to revalve right off as it seems to be more for mx gncc type maybe. The rr sachs shock on my 15 is good.. just added stiffer springs front and back a little later..I'm heavier ...just adding a little at a time and loving the bike. Watch the steering lock.. water gets in and rusts the bearings below.. some just put some rubber to go over with some silicone... or spend the money for the bling one on the betausa site in accessories... but really the bike just needs guards and to be ridden.. later on add on what you might want. Some say to check the linkage link and steering stem for grease and check the motor mount bolts later for loosening.. but I'm just doing that as maintenance goes forward.

Just finished installing the last of all my upgrades on my new 300rr race edition today. Yes you should add grease, I installed the stabilizer and the linkage guard and not much grease was found. Check all vacuum hoses, I had one pinched in the back side of the carburetor. I also installed a JD jet kit, that made a world of difference. You should ride it a couple of times to really see what you need to add or change. Enjoy.

Tighten the kick stand bolt, make sure the plug is a 7, not an 8. The 250 really likes 32:1. Follow the jetting chart 1 row up. Start with power valve 2 turns in from flush. 95 on the sag. Make sure the plug cap is snapped on. Fork to 1st or 2nd line. Leave the steering stops alone. Silicone the seat mechanism. Grease the air box snap things, double check air filter fitment.

Wow, I'm running 65:1 on my 300. Thing runs clean as a whistle. Guess I'll really find out when it's time for a top end

I just had a major base gasket tear combined with a big pipe leak after a hit at the start of a race and ended up running for an hour and a half with no coolant and didn't seize. I little scorched but all is well. Lubrication equals power and safety. Plus the250 likes to rev.

Thanks guys, definitely good stuff to know. The more i read the more it sounds like the Sachs forks have improved a lot in 15. Wont know till i try them though. Good to know about the steering lock. 32:1?! Ran my ktm at 60:1 and never had a problem?
