The new 2016 RR Race Version fork is....

OK everyone knows that there is trouble on the horizon for Marzocchi. Unfortunately it will effect future RR Race models. Beta certainly has plans in place for this situation. I'm not gonna pretend to have "insider info" to inflate my relationship with those guy's. I have however spoke with Frank at Beta and he tells me that they are working on an in-house fork for this model. He didn't make like it was anything "Top Secret" and it may have been just a "Red Herring". In the past these guy's have kept a lid on changes better than anyone I have ever seen. Did anyone know the RR's were getting oil injection? The poll question is "What Fork do you think the RR Race version will have?"

My answer : Just a guess, Stillwell Performance tuned, in-house Beta designed fork. Why, because it's in keeping with the innovative and courageous spirit of the company. I sure hope I am right! What do you think and why? Get on the record.

I don't think it's anything to do Stillwell. I think Beta will have a good CC fork that will be better than the Red Legs. Just my $.02

I predict that Beta already bought a bunch of red forks and that they will still be on the first few runs of 2016 race editions.

Your probably right Big O, Too many Race versions to run through one shop for tuning. Even if it is the amazing Alan Stillwell.

Cruizin, that could be the case too, or maybe a garage sale on the closeout zokes! They would still sell in my opinion, I love mine.

He just wanted to be the first! Lol

I would think Beta will go to the Sachs suspension across the board. The 2015 versions are working great and they already have a contract or some sort of working relationship. I'm sure Beta knew this was coming pretty early on. I heard Marzzocchi was shuttering all divisions at least 4-5 months ago. Then you have to ask what the options are. I doubt KTM is going to sell any WP stuff, maybe Ohlins but that'll drive prices up. The Japanese companies are probably busy enough supplying the big four. In house probably isn't going to work either. I don't think Beta has the factory capacity to make that work.
I certainly reserve the right to be wrong on any of this but I would guess at least for the near future Sachs suspension will be OE across the board.

I can right now, categorically tell you with absolute certainly that the fork on the 2016 Racing is a complete mystery to me.

I'd vote for an upscale Sachs, hopefully not in the gack gold the RR has :(

Sorry Darkside, just spitballing. I don't know much about Sachs, Johnno do they have any CC forks?

A new Beta/Sachs joint design CC fork. I still say a KYB would be the best choice.
