Hey guys. Im new here and it is awesome to see that there are quite a few TN guys on this forum. Im from Nashville but am going to school in Chattanooga. Just picked up my new (to me) Beta 525rs and am loving every second of it! My first picture is at Edwards Point in Chatt, which a few of you might recognize. The second picture is on Stringers Ridge overlooking the city after dark. Not supposed to be up there but thats the beauty of two wheels is that a couple of little gates can''t stop you. I doubt anyone would be up there to say anything at 1am anyways. :D Also, I have a set of the racing decals on the way, so the bike will look a bit different in the next week. Can't wait!

Hey there from New Zealand,I joined the Beta club on the 28-01-2014 after laying down 7k and trading an 06 ktm 525 exc and a 07 ktm 300 exc,up until I purchased the 07 ktm 300 in September 2014 I have only owned and ridden four strokes for 35yrs,started riding ktms in 1996 so I was looking at 2014 ktms, husqvarnas, husabergs,tm,sherco, fantic or a beta,it was time for a change in bikes and strokes as it turned out.James from precision motorbikes had just started importing Betas When I saw one on trademe (our version of ebay)so a 2014 Beta RR300 is my new ride.I'm still dialing in the suspension have had the forks revalved as they were beating me up with blisters cramp and sore shoulders,I have smashed the sump guard they're to hard and brittle I have a Hyde racing sump guard on order.I was pleased when my gpr stabilizer that I had on my 07 ktm 300 fitted.Shes not looking as pretty these days as shes hit the ground 3 or 4 times now,I love my Beta.I'm running spectro platinum sx2 at 50:1 in my fuel James has asked me to increase this to 40:1 also running spectro sx clutch saver 10w30 in the gearbox,I have also had to replace the rear disc.If anyones interested there are some helmet cam vids of some trail rides at you tube just search Beta RR300 MY 2014 Trail ride.Cheers Richard.

Hey there, the red spoke skinz are a thick walled plastic tube with a slit running the length of the spoke skinz, just split the end with a screw driver and slide on to your spokes with the slit facing out,you need to cut to length. The front spokes where easy to slide past the cross over point,as for the rears I had to loosen each second spoke to get the spoke skinz to slide past each other then just retighten your spokes the same amount of flats/turns as you had undone them. They cost me 45 New Zealand dollars for the front and rear plus you get a couple of spares, they come in 9 different colours and you can mix and match colours, just google, youtube spoke skinz, they look cool but I'm guessing they'll be good at keeping mud and moisture up against the spokes, but they look cool.Cheer's Richard

Thanks Richard, will do.
Not a bad idea for protection against rust etc.

Actually I've asked 'cause they reminded me of some trick synthetic bicycle spokes I've seen before .

The spokes on my 2010 rusted to crap in no time. Those woulda been great to cover up their terrible finishing.

What was the reason James gave for going to 40:1 on the mix?
