I'm glad U found out Jeff. Can be life threatening. I've had OSA for many years.

Well I have been using the cpap machine for about 2 weeks now. I have adapted to it very quickly. They told me to work towards sleeping with it on for four hours at the end of the first week. I did that the first night...
I do find that I need to have the house somewhat cool so that the nose mask thingy doesn't get to warm.
I slept for 8 and a half hours straight with the cpap night before last and felt better than I have in many years....

I suspect I have sleep apnea. but doesn't having that thing on your face bother you? I toss and turn a lot in my sleep. I might strangle myself.

Glad its working out Jeff. Once on a river rafting/camping trip, one guy with bad sleep apnea was really freaking us out, we could hear him stop breathing and then start again in a panic. It actually kept us up too, scary.

It's good you caught it. It is hard on your heart and the effects of the resulting sleep deprivation are many...
I downloaded a free program called sleepyhead that will read the data off the cpap. I can see how well I am sleeping - highly recommended.
